Ephemeral Landscape Drawing

The concept behind these photographs lies in the idea of drawing or "making marks" in one's environment. I achieved this by photographing my shadow in different landscapes. In this sense, I am making my mark on my environment and adding a sense of myself/identity. There is something to be said about our fascination with ourselves, our relationship to the outside world, and adding pieces of ourselves to the world. Of course, this is done ephemerally, meaning it is only temporary, just as is our impact on this earth.
